Replacing missing tooth in Singapore

Dental Implant Singapore

At Wellness Dental Studio, we’re here to transform your smile using the magic of dental implants in Singapore. Our promise goes beyond just replacing missing teeth; we provide a lasting solution that not only enhances your looks but also boosts your confidence. Picture dental implants as tiny architects, resembling screws, fitting seamlessly into your jawbone. They act as a sturdy base for a natural-looking artificial tooth. Made from top-notch titanium, our implants form the foundation for your dental renewal, guaranteeing a durable and enduring fix.

Dental implants have completely revolutionized dentistry and have now become one of the most popular dental services for several reasons. An implant is a surgical fixture that can replace broken, chipped, and extracted teeth.

Explaining Dental Implant

Dr Tan Wei Chong

A dental implant is a tooth replacement solution that mimics the natural tooth structure. It involves surgically placing a titanium implant into the jawbone, providing a sturdy foundation for a crown. Dental implants are the best alternatives to dentures and bridges.

How Does a Tooth Implant Work?

A dental implant is constructed with titanium at Wellness Dental Studio. It is then integrated into the jawbone as a substitute for the root of the lost tooth. A prosthetic tooth or denture can then be fixed on this implant and help you function like normal once again.

Benefits of Tooth Implant

Let’s uncover the positive impacts that dental implants bring to your oral health. Beyond just replacing missing teeth,
these implants offer several perks that make a real difference.

Join us as we break down the simple yet powerful reasons why dental implants stand out as a reliable and beneficial
choice for a complete and confident smile.

Lookalike Natural Appearance

Natural Appearance

Dental implants provide a natural-looking solution for tooth replacement. The artificial tooth, anchored securely to the implant, closely resembles a real tooth, ensuring a seamless blend with the rest of your smile. This aesthetic advantage contributes to a confident and natural appearance.

Enhanced Functionality

Enhanced Functionality

Unlike traditional dentures, dental implants offer enhanced functionality. They function much like natural teeth, providing a stable and strong foundation for biting and chewing. This improved functionality allows you to enjoy your favorite foods without concerns about discomfort or limitations.

Long lasting and Durable dental implant

Long-lasting and Durable

Dental implants are known for their durability and longevity. Constructed from high-quality materials called titanium, they are resistant to decay and can withstand the normal wear and tear of daily use. With proper care and maintenance, dental implants can last for many years, making them a cost-effective and enduring solution.

Preservation of Jawbone

Preservation of Jawbone

One significant benefit of dental implants is their ability to preserve the jawbone. When a tooth is lost, the jawbone may start to deteriorate over time. Dental implants, acting as artificial tooth roots, stimulate the jawbone and prevent bone loss, maintaining the integrity of your facial structure and supporting overall oral health.

No Dependence on Neighboring Teeth

No Dependence on Neighboring Teeth

Dental implants stand independently, eliminating the need to rely on adjacent teeth for support. Unlike traditional bridges, which may require the alteration of neighboring teeth, dental implants provide a standalone solution. This preserves the integrity of surrounding natural teeth and contributes to a more conservative and tooth-friendly approach.

Long lasting and Durable dental implant

No Need for Replacements

Dental implants offer a permanent solution to tooth loss. Unlike removable dentures or bridges, which may require periodic adjustments or replacements, dental implants are a fixed and stable option. This eliminates the inconvenience and ongoing costs associated with the maintenance or replacement of other tooth replacement alternatives.

Types of Dental Implant

Different types of tooth implants are indicated for different reasons. After a thorough examination of your

teeth and gums, our dentists will be able to suggest the best option for you.

At Wellness Dental Studio, we offer 4 dental implant services:

All-on-4 Dental Implant

All-on-4 Dental Implant

In 1998 Dr. Paulo Malo successfully treated the first patient with the All-on- 4® treatment concept. Since then hundreds of thousands of patients have been treated with this concept using Nobel BioCare implants.

Experience the convenience of All-on-4 dental implants, also known as teeth-in-a-day. Ideal for those with multiple or full rows of missing teeth, this procedure is completed in a single day. By strategically placing 4 to 6 dental implant screws into the jawbone, we provide a stable foundation for a bridge prosthesis, giving you a full set of teeth in one efficient procedure. It’s more than a dental fix; it’s a swift and transformative journey to a confident and complete smile.

Single tooth dental Implant

This dental implant is best suited when you have a single missing tooth that needs to be replaced. It’s a simple and quick procedure.

Full Mouth Rehabilitation

When your entire set of teeth and underlying gums are compromised, you might benefit from a full mouth rehabilitation dental implant.

This involves meticulous designing of the implant after taking impressions of your mouth, and great care to maintain the quality of the implant.

Implant-supported Dentures (Bar or Attachment)

When one does not have any teeth in the jaw but has enough bone to support implants, an implant-supported denture may be recommended. It has special attachments that can snap into place on dental implants.

There are two types of implant-supported dentures:

Bar-retained dentures — A thin metal bar (that follows the curvature of the jawbone) houses the denture as well as special clips or attachments. These clips or attachments securely snap into place using the dental implants in Singapore.

Ball-retained dentures — Each dental implant is fitted with a metal “ball and socket” type of attachment. The denture will house the corresponding attachment to the implant, making it easy to snap the denture into place.

Daily cleaning for the dentures is required. Do not go to sleep with it.

Structure of Dental Implant

Dental implants consist of several key components, working together seamlessly to provide a durable and natural-looking tooth replacement solution. Here’s an overview of the essential elements that make up the structure of dental implants:

Implant Fixture

The foundation of the dental implant is the implant fixture, typically made of high-quality titanium. This fixture is surgically placed into the jawbone, acting as an artificial tooth root.

Positioned above the gumline, the abutment connects to the implant fixture. This component serves as the connector between the implant and the prosthetic tooth, allowing for stability and support.

Prosthetic Tooth (Crown)

The visible part of the dental implant is the prosthetic tooth, which can be a single crown, a bridge, or a denture, depending on the specific needs of the patient. This component is custom-designed to match the shape, size, and color of natural teeth.

Considering Dental Implants?
Here's Why

Ever wondered why dental implants are a popular choice for tooth replacement? Firstly, imagine having a missing tooth seamlessly replaced with one that looks and feels natural. That’s the magic of dental implants – they blend flawlessly with your existing teeth, offering a solution that goes beyond mere restoration.

Now, you might be curious about their role in maintaining oral health. Well, dental implants do more than just fill gaps. They act as artificial roots, preventing jawbone weakening that often occurs when a tooth is lost. This not only keeps your facial structure intact but also supports overall oral health. And when it comes to daily activities like eating and speaking, dental implants provide confidence. Their stable foundation ensures a secure fit, addressing concerns of slippage or discomfort. So, are dental implants the right choice for you? Our dentist can help you explore the possibilities and guide you on your journey to a confident and functional smile.

Six steps Dental Implant procedure in Singapore

Consultation and Evaluation:

Your dental implant journey begins with a comprehensive consultation. Our dentist will assess your oral health, discuss your medical history, and address any concerns you may have. This initial step is crucial in tailoring the treatment plan to your specific needs.

Personalized Treatment Planning:

Following the evaluation, a personalized treatment plan is crafted. This plan outlines the number of implants required, the type of prosthetics needed (crown, bridge, or denture), and any additional procedures. Clear communication ensures alignment with your expectations.

Impressions and Preparation:

Before the implantation, impressions of your teeth are taken. These impressions guide the creation of prosthetics that mimic the natural look of your teeth. This step ensures a seamless integration of the new teeth with your existing dentition.

Surgical Implant Placement:

Under local anesthesia, titanium screws are surgically placed into the jawbone. These serve as sturdy foundations for the prosthetic teeth. The surgical procedure is meticulously conducted to prioritize your comfort.

Healing and Abutment Attachment:

A healing period follows the implant placement, allowing for osseointegration. Once the implants are securely fused with the jawbone, abutments are attached. These connectors extend above the gum line and act as anchors for the final prosthetic teeth.

Prosthetic Placement and Follow-Up:

The last step involves attaching the custom-made prosthetic teeth onto the abutments. These prosthetics are designed to match your natural teeth. Our dentist provides post-placement care instructions and schedules follow-up appointments to monitor the healing process, ensuring the longevity of your restored smile.
